Alison Schrag, a Fish and Wildlife Technician in New York, is passionate about protecting ecosystems and promoting biodiversity. Inspired by her childhood trips to upstate New York, she pursued a degree in Environmental Science with a wildlife biology focus at SUNY ESF.
Working with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Alison restores habitats, monitors endangered species, and engages communities in conservation efforts. Her work includes urban wildlife management, aquatic habitat restoration, and endangered species surveys.
Beyond her professional role, Alison is dedicated to environmental outreach. She leads educational workshops and programs to inspire others to care for the natural world. In her free time, she enjoys birdwatching, hiking, and wildlife photography, using her creativity to advocate for conservation.
