Alison Schrag is a Fish and Wildlife Technician in New York dedicated to preserving ecosystems and fostering biodiversity. Her passion for the natural world began during family trips to upstate New York, leading her to earn a degree in Environmental Science with a focus on wildlife biology from SUNY ESF.
At the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, Alison plays a key role in restoring habitats, monitoring endangered species, and educating communities about conservation. Her work spans urban wildlife management, aquatic habitat restoration, and conducting surveys for at-risk species.
Alison is also committed to public outreach, leading workshops and programs designed to inspire environmental stewardship. In her free time, she enjoys birdwatching, hiking, and wildlife photography, using these hobbies to further raise awareness about the importance of conservation.
